What's an elevator pitch?
It's a way of introducing yourself and getting across some key points. Imagine you are entering the elevator with your CEO and you've never had the opportunity to talk to her before. What will you say to make an impression?
How long how I got to make an elevator pitch?
Most likely between 30 or 60 seconds.
What should I say in my elevator pitch?
Who are you?
What do you do?
What is your purpose?
What do you want to achieve?
What makes you unique?
How should I craft my elevator pitch?

An example:
Hi, I'm Jo. I'm a computer programmer working in the business development team. It's great to have the opportunity to work across different functions and share my passion for programming.
I use a different approach to most developers as I like to find out exactly what people need before I start designing. It takes longer but the feedback I receive is very positive. 96% of staff reported that they were happy with the app that I designed to book annual leave.
Remember to start by focussing on what would you like your audience to remember about you. Best of luck!
